At Farmstead Fresh, we grow certified organic microgreens year-round at our farm in Hillsburgh, Ontario. Our greens are grown in locally produced, compost-rich soil using organic, non-GMO seed and harvested fresh for exceptional flavour, colour and quality. From Sunflower and Pea Shoot microgreens to Broccoli, Radish, Wheatgrass and our signature mixes, we grow food we're proud to supply to families, retailers and businesses in our local communities.
What Are Microgreens?
Microgreens are young vegetable and herb plants harvested shortly after their first leaves develop. Unlike sprouts, microgreens are grown in soil and harvested above the growing medium.
Small but remarkably flavourful, they add fresh colour, texture and nutrition to salads, sandwiches, smoothies, juices and everyday meals.
